Speak to Kit is an AI hiring system built for quality of hire. The hiring manager says what a top performer delivers in their first 12 months, Kit speaks to every applicant about the way they work, and the hiring team sees who to meet, and why. How Kit works, step by step.
Which to choose
Choose Phenom if you want one platform across the whole talent system. Phenom lists "Recruiting. Talent management. Workforce planning. Automation. AI Agents." and describes itself as "an applied AI company that helps organizations hire faster, develop better and retain longer". Its careers site, CRM, scheduling, onboarding and talent marketplace sit in one place.
Choose Speak to Kit if the goal is hiring people who deliver impact in their first 12 months, and you want to start on one team without a big project. Kit does one job: it speaks to every applicant against what the hiring manager says a top performer delivers, recommends who to meet, and on the Talent and Enterprise plans Kit checks in on each hire at 30 days, 90 days and a year.
Both speak to applicants. They listen for different things.
Phenom says its Voice Screening Agent "is available 24/7, connecting with candidates the moment they apply", with "Role-specific screening conversations that probe deeper into qualifications, clarify details and assess fit."
Kit's conversation starts from the outcome instead. Before Kit speaks to anyone, the hiring manager says what the best person in the role gets done in a year, and how. Kit writes one standard from that, with a good answer and a great one, and holds every applicant to it. Your team signs it off and can change any word.
Price
Phenom does not publish its pricing. Speak to Kit costs £250 + VAT a month per agent month to month, or £200 + VAT a month on an annual plan. A company can start with one agent on one role.

Why a fixed standard beats a judgement call
Hoffman, Kahn and Li studied nearly 266,000 hires at 15 firms in 2018. When managers overruled a job test and hired against it, their hires left sooner and did no better at the job. Bringing in the test made hires stay just over 25% longer.
Kit applies the same standard to every person, from every source, and shows its reasons in the applicant's own words. The hiring team still makes every decision. What changes is that every decision starts from the same evidence.
What it looked like at Omnicom
Omnicom's brief for one role said "a love for F1 is a must. Test this somehow." Kit spoke to 223 people in a few days. Around 20 of them knew F1 sponsorship well enough to talk about it in detail, which no CV filter could have shown.
“...we actually have made an offer to somebody that Kit spoke to.”
How a company tries Speak to Kit
Speak to Kit starts as a small pilot on one team or one kind of job. The first two weeks take the starting numbers, such as interviews per hire. Over one quarter Kit runs with a few teams. By week 12 the company can see how Kit's recommendations line up with its own managers' view.
Because Kit links to any ATS, a pilot does not need a new system, a data migration or a change to how jobs are posted. The talent team keeps running its process, and Kit adds a conversation with every applicant at the start.
Where the two overlap
Both Phenom and Speak to Kit can speak to applicants at any hour, and both write what they learn back to the hiring team. The difference is scope. Phenom covers the careers site, the CRM, scheduling, onboarding and the talent marketplace. Speak to Kit covers one stretch of hiring in depth: from the hiring manager's brief, through a conversation with every applicant, to how each hire is doing a year later.
A company that already has a full talent platform can still run Kit on the roles where quality of hire matters most, because Kit sits alongside the ATS rather than replacing anything.
What it is worth
Phenom is built to help companies hire faster. Speak to Kit is measured on who is still delivering a year later. One failed hire on £80,000 costs about £51,000. On the Talent and Enterprise plans, Kit checks in on every hire at 30 days, 90 days and a year, so a company can count first-year leavers among people hired through Kit against the hires before. For example, a global IT services company hiring about 12,000 people a year has about 1,920 first-year leavers, costing about £58.8 million a year. Halving that would be worth about £29.4 million a year (estimate).
